Kahalu'u Ward Message 7/10/22

Aloha my Brothers and Sisters,

Over the past couple of weeks, my family and I went on a road trip with our cousins to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the Red Wood trees in California. It was great to see these huge magnificent trees that scientists believe have been growing for over 3,000 years, as well as the nature surrounding such giants. I was blessed to see so many beautiful sights that just reminded me of all the creations that the Lord made for us. He was able to make all that surrounds us and seeing the beauty of it all has helped me to gain a greater appreciation for our Heavenly Father. This thought reminded me of a hymn which I would like to share the first verse of.

Hymn 92: For the Beauty of the Earth:

“For the beauty of the earth,

For the beauty of the skies,

For the love which from our birth

Over and around us lies,

Lord of all, to thee we raise

This our hymn of grateful praise.”

I hope that as we continue on in our lives that we can take some time to take in the beauty of the world around us and that we can find a greater gratitude and appreciation for the blessings that our Heavenly Father has given us.

Aloha, La'akea Ka'onohi
