Dear Kahalu'u Ward,

The principle of forgiving has an underlying healing power that is often overlooked or not always thought of. A life changing healing.

When the forgiver forgives another, the forgiver usually believes that they are giving the other person a chance. The forgiver usually does not think of oneself at fault. We forget sometimes, that the receiver has a choice to accept it or not. This is probably why relationships between family, friends or marriages take forever to mend.

For many of us, to forgive another, we do it when we’re ready. Which is totally understood. But what are we doing to get ourselves to that “WHEN I’M READY” feeling to forgive another?

Thus the words of one of my favorite church hymns: “Did You Think to Pray?” (Page #140)

The words of this hymns will carry the rest of my message, as I could not say it any better.

“Prayer, will change the night to day.”

I have a firm testimony of the power of prayer. Individually or together.

With much love,

Brother Joe Fano1st Counselor, Kahalu'u Ward Bishopric
