Aloha Brothers and Sisters,
A few years ago we were challenged to “ponderize” the scriptures - choose a scripture each week, think about it and learn it by heart. I didn’t follow through with this challenge very well, but a diligent friend of mine chose 1 Peter 3:15. I followed his example that week and “ponderized” this scripture:
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you …”
Since then I have recognized this scripture many times as it has been quoted often in General Conference talks. We are encouraged to “let our lights shine”, Hopefully we will radiate the joy and hope we feel as we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ enough that someone will ask us for “a reason of the hope that is in” us.
With love,
