Aloha Kahalu’u Ward!!
We recently experienced our first family wedding about a month ago. A couple of weeks before their wedding, my wife and I spent some time to talk with our oldest son as he prepares to enter into this sacred covenant. A covenant that I feel has been taken so lightly by todays world.
We counseled him that a marriage should alway consist of 3 special spirits: You, your sweetheart and our Heavenly Father. Always include your Father in Heaven in your marriage.
Take her to the temple every single month! Don’t just be a temple recommend holder. Be an “active holder”. There’s a difference.
There, you will hear your Heavenly Father counsel & guide you on what to do. Don’t ever stop dating your wife. Ever!! Make her laugh!!
With Mother’s Day just passing and Father’s Day approaching, I hope we parents continue to date each other and laugh a lot together. I thank my parents and all the older kupuna in our ward for setting this beautiful example for me and my wife.
Family life is great!! See you at the temple!!
