Aloha my Brothers and Sisters,
"And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus Answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works God should be made manifest in him." (Italics added) John 9: 2-3
Can you imagine the difference it would have made for this man to know from his childhood that he was born blind, so that some day the long awaited Messiah would cross his path and heal him, so that people would see "the works of God...made manifest in him". Would that perspective not have changed his attitude to know that his challenges and suffering were for a grand purpose, for not only him to witness the salvation of the Lord, but for others also and to become converted because of it?
This Easter Sunday, may we all have this perspective of our Lord as we remember Him, His Sacrifice and Resurrection.
