Aloha Kahalu'u Ward,

This Sunday is Father's Day, and I wanted to recognize my dad and how well he sets an

example, much like Christ. He teaches me many things, such as cooking, surfing, and diving. These things are cool, but he teaches me much more important things that I will need to know in my life. Raising a family, staying close to church, and he showed me what a good dad is. I want to follow in his footsteps on how he went on a mission and be a good priesthood holder. Another thing about my dad is that he always puts my daily needs before his, whether its a small thing like getting stuff for us that doesn't benefit him. Or big things like working hard for us all the time.

I love my dad and grateful for the example he sets to me and lil bros and lil sis.

“Dad” by Karen K. Boyer

He never looks for praises

He's never one to boast

He just goes on quietly working

For those he loves the most

His dreams are seldom spoken

His wants are very few

And most of the time his worries

Will go unspoken too

He's there.... A firm foundation

Through all our storms of life

A sturdy hand to hold to

In times of stress and strife

A true friend we can turn to

When times are good or bad

One of our greatest blessings,

The man that we call Dad

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s and father figures in my life.
