Kahalu'u Ward Message 12/4/22

Updated: Dec 10, 2022

Aloha Kahalu'u Family,

On a recent thrifting adventure with my kids, we found a cute wooden nativity wrapped in plastic for only $2. Score!

Unfortunately when we brought it home and opened it up, we discovered several key pieces were missing, including the baby Jesus! Christ was missing from Christmas!

The Holiday season is always full of festivities, shopping, tv specials, family traditions and treasured memories. Our missing manger scene was an important reminder; let’s always remember the reason for the Season. Remember that although Christmas is all of those fun things, most importantly we celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 2:7&11

Aloha, Melanie Afualo Relief Society President, Kahalu'u Ward
