Aloha e Kahalu’u ‘Ohana,
Recently, my 1st counselor, Libby Tom felt impressed to include testimony time in Primary. We’ve never done this before so in November, she explained to everyone what we’d be doing in the following months. As we set this in motion for the first time last Fast Sunday, I was left speechless. There was a constant flow of keiki eager to bear their testimonies. As soon as one finished, there was already another standing up to make their way to the front. Nothing was rehearsed, nothing was repeated…everything shared was unique to that individual.
If you ask me how my daughter Elsie is able to bear her testimony every month in front of the entire congregation, I couldn’t give you an answer. Even as an adult, public speaking is a legit fear for me. But like Elsie, who goes up to that pulpit with no hesitation, our Ward keiki were doing the EXACT SAME THING last Sunday in Primary. Amongst peers of their age, they valiantly bore their beliefs in the gospel and their love for Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.
Although you don’t get to see/hear all these other keiki, I want you ALL to know that more testimonies within our Ward are being shared…just at a smaller pulpit:)
