Aloha Kahalu'u Ward,
Speaking about the gathering of Israel, President Russell M. Nelson, in his 2018 youth devotional, said “There is nothing of greater consequence,” President Nelson said. “Absolutely nothing. This gathering should mean everything to you. This is the mission for which you were sent to earth.” The gathering of Israel is THE most important work happening on this earth today. As the lords workers, we are expected to gather Israel through missionary work, service or just helping others.
In that same talk, President Nelson also stated, “Anytime you do anything that helps anyone—on either side of the veil—take a step toward making covenants with God and receiving their essential baptismal and temple ordinances, you are helping to gather Israel. It is as simple as that.” There is a reason why each year more and more temples are being built. I strongly urge the ward to be ACTIVE temple recommend holders, not just to keep it in your wallet or phone case, but actually going to the temple doing the Lords work in gathering Israel. I bear my testimony that if we do all we can to help the gathering of Israel move forward, we will be blessed, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
