Kahalu'u Ward Message 10/15/23

Aloha Brothers and Sisters in the Kahaluu Ward! We all know that General Conference was just a few weeks ago and it was a great opportunity to learn and hear from prophets, seers and revelators. The message we want to share with you all is about the talk by Elder Gary B. Sabin titled Hallmarks of Happiness. He thought of 5 observations that will help us feel true happiness.

First is building upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. We testify that He is a sure foundation that can help all of us through our trials and challenges. He is the source of light and hope in our lives!

Second is to Remember our Divine Identity as sons and daughters of God. We do have a loving Father in Heaven and He always is mindful for all of our situations. As we look at our lives as how our Heavenly Father sees it, we can know that life is for us to learn and grow from.

The third one is to Remember the Worth of a soul. Everyone we encounter, meet and talk to are our brothers and sisters. Sons and Daughters of God. We may take them for granted at times but in God's eyes, they're precious because they are all loved!

The fourth observation is to Maintain an Eternal Perspective. As President Nelson mentioned this past General Conference, THINK CELESTIAL! As we look into the Eternal Perspective. Our minds and hearts will look forward and straight unto living life in its fullest and to live back with our Heavenly Father!

Lastly is Be Grateful. The Spirit of Gratitude we promise will lead to an increase of happiness. Our perspective of life will be greater than has ever before. Our hearts will overflow with Joy as we find gratitude in the small and simple things in life. Most especially as we look unto Jesus Christ everyday.

We love you brothers and sisters and we want all of you to be happy! The Joy that comes from Spiritual Things cannot be compared with the joy from this world. True Joy is in following our Savior and it is priceless. It can bring families together, help those in need, and bring peace and comfort to broken hearts. We invite you to apply these 5 princples in your lives and we promise you that it can bless you with great joy. These we leave in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

The Youth performed temple baptisms last Thursday night. It was a wonderful blessing for us, as well as the 120 names we baptized and confirmed for those beyond the veil.
