Kahalu'u Ward Message 10/10/21

Updated: Nov 12, 2021

Aloha Ward Family,

We are all familiar with the scripture in 2 Nephi 2:25: Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.

President Nelson said (and was quoted in several general conference talks last weekend), “The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.” We are counseled to have that focus be Jesus Christ. The speakers focused their messages “on our Savior, Jesus Christ, His mercy, and His infinite redeeming power.” Our Prophet’s closing remarks included, “Nothing invites the Spirit more than fixing your focus on Jesus Christ.”

I pray that as we may deal with difficult circumstances, we can keep our focus on Jesus and have an eternal perspective allowing us to feel and radiate joy which others can see.

With Love,

Cathy Kaonohi

Kahalu'u Ward Relief Society President
