Aloha e Kahalu’u ‘Ohana…
During Uncle Jimmy’s service yesterday, Bishop Tano spoke of our pre-mortal existence and the plan of salvation. Despite the topics being one that is constantly in earshot each Sunday, his words resonated and I felt a renewed understanding and revived acceptance of this doctrine.
He reminded the congregation that, “We have a spiritual history that proceeds this life.” That means we ALL knew Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father and they knew us. Although we may not clearly remember every detail, we rely on our faith to reassure us of our celestial privileges and potential.
D&C 88:19 says, “For after it hath filled the measure of its creation, it shall be crowned with glory, even with the presence of God the Father;”. I hope while reading this scripture you’re reminded that you already possess the divine attributes which will help you endure to the end. May we never forget these promises made unto us and always have faith in Heavenly Father’s love.
