Aloha Kahalu'u Ward,
During our final Sunday meeting at Waikalua chapel last week, I packed up everything that belonged to the Primary and took it out of the building. A bulk of that was the Nursery. We initially weren’t allowed (covid) to share Nursery toys with the other wards so we relied heavily on donations from you all to build our toy supply. And to make sure we were taking to the (empty) Stake Center everything that was ours, the nursery leaders patiently sorted through all the toys.
As I sat amongst these three women, I could see their genuine love and care they have for our littlest Primary members. I’m thankful that they, and all our teachers, music and activity leaders, willingly fulfill their callings each week to establish that initial gospel truth of being a Child of God.
For me, moving back to the Stake Center today had me reflecting on how much change/challenges the Primary endured since I received this calling. I believe our Primary thrived over the years because of the support/involvement of each and every member in this Ward. From the filled seats at all of our baptisms, to the participation in our activities…I thank you all for serving our Kahalu’u Primary keiki.
