Kahalu’u Ohana,

I’m really thankful to be in this ward because I’ve gotten to watch a lot of my friends go on missions, like Maddux, Mason, Elijah, and all the other guys. It’s pretty awesome to see them leave their families, friends, and everything they’re used to for two years just because of their faith. I always like hearing from them when they come back. It’s cool to see how much their testimonies have grown and hear the stories of how they helped others come closer to Christ.

Going on a mission takes a lot of courage, especially being in a place you don’t know and talking to strangers all the time. I’ve had a lot of family—my uncles, aunties, grandparents, and cousins—serve missions all over, and I love hearing their stories. My dad talks about his mission to Puerto Rico a lot, and I always enjoy the funny or cool experiences he shares. I hope I can go on a mission one day too.

Missionary Corner

Talofa lava friends and fams!!

I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around how fast time is moving. We're now down to about one month left in this transfer and i know that sounds like a lot but we're struggling to see how we're going to be able to get everything we want to get done done before this transfer finishes. This week gave us more wonderful work and we're LOVING it all.

This weeks spiritual thought comes from D&C 78:7 which reads, "For if you will that I give unto you a place in the celestial world, you must prepare yourselves by doing the things which I have commanded you and required of you." Plain and simple as is the gospel of Jesus Christ. We know this but i think a lot of times we forget it or forget it's importance which outweighs the importance of any other matter. As President Nelson instructs, THINK CELESTIAL! This simple principle is easier said than done, but i know the outcome is worth every test we face with that mindset.

Alofas,

Sister Fano <3
