Aloha Kahalu`u Ward,
There is a pretty good sense of excitement in Sunday School, with the new year and the focus on the Book of Mormon. This week we will read about Lehi's vision of the Tree of Life, one of the greatest parables and its wonderful symbolism of our Heavenly Father's plan for us.
As I liken the scriptures to myself, I see my own dad and mom as Lehi and Sariah at the Tree, not only hoping for their family to stay on the path, holding to the iron rod, but also teaching us and living the Gospel and being examples to us. I have grown to love the Book of Mormon and all that it teaches and the miracles that took place through Joseph Smith to bring it to the world.
Aloha,
Kaihaku Chun
