Aloha Kahalu’u Ward ‘Ohana,

These past few days, I had the opportunity to spend time at our stake youth conference, and my heart is FULL of appreciation and love for this next generation of stripling warriors. They bring such light and hope to an increasingly dark world. On Saturday, they all wore white shirts with the phrase “DOUBT NOT, FEAR NOT” from D&C 6:36. It was truly inspiring to see so many of our youth, united by shared values and beliefs, choosing to spend a weekend participating in church activities when they could have been anywhere else. I know they will be blessed for their commitment to such a worthy cause!

Whether it was working at Kāko’o Ōiwi under the hot sun (and through a subsequent torrential downpour), learning about missionary service, or dancing their hearts out, it was uplifting to witness the camaraderie and love they have for each other.

I LOVE the theme chosen this year: “DOUBT NOT, FEAR NOT.” It aligns perfectly with the message of Easter. Just as our Savior triumphed over death and rose again, He invites us to cast aside our doubts and fears, and trust in His eternal power and love. The resurrection is the ultimate testimony that we don’t need to fear the challenges of this life because Christ has overcome them all—for each and every one of us!

This Easter Sunday, may we hold fast to the courage and faith demonstrated by our youth. Their unwavering spirit reminds us that through Christ, we can face any trial with confidence and peace in our hearts. I hope we can also remember that we will never have to face anything as difficult as our Savior did and keep that in mind when we face our next trial!

I love you all and am so blessed to be able to spend so much time with our amazing youth :) Mahalo!! Sis. Ashleigh Vilardi Young Women's President, Kahalu'u Ward
