Kahalu'u Ward Message 2/9/25

Aloha Kahalu’u Ohana!!

When Oliver Cowdery was trying to sort out his feelings of what he was about to engage in, he sought Heavenly Fathers help through faith and prayer. He knew it was a very important task and wanted to make sure he was the right one for the job. He didn’t take this lightly. 


Our Heavenly Father counseled Oliver Cowdery through revelation: 


“Be faithful and diligent in keeping the commandments of God, and I will encircle thee in the arms of my love.” D&C 6:20


As he accepted and proceeded with faith, he helped to bring forth a Book that has changed millions of lives. Including yours and mines. 

Oliver Cowdery lived to see this change. Had he not accepted this inspired calling, he would’ve never had this experience. What a missed opportunity it would’ve been. 


I really enjoyed this verse from this weeks reading. I texted my children on our family thread. What ever work for the gathering comes your way, accept it. Whether it be a calling in church, an assignment to speak in church, receiving a phone call to go visit someone…do it!! Don’t miss this opportunity. 


If you’re uncomfortable, know that our Heavenly Father is always your companion. Approach the task with Him. And He will show you why He always reminds us to “TRUST HIM”. 


Kahalu’u ward…let us not miss out on any opportunity that come our way. And then may we enjoy the blessings that come ten fold!!
