Aloha Kahalu'u Ward,

Change is often something we postpone, waiting for the perfect time or ideal circumstances. But the truth is, there’s never a “perfect” moment to begin. It’s a myth we tell ourselves to avoid leaving our comfort zone because that would be too difficult.  Life is happening now, and every day we delay is a missed opportunity to grow, evolve, and become the person we want to be. Taking action today, no matter how small, sets the wheels in motion. It’s about breaking free from the cycle of hesitation. When we stop waiting and start doing, we create momentum that builds into lasting progress.

Making a change isn’t just about a quick fix or temporary improvement, it’s about committing to a lifestyle. Whether it’s adopting healthier habits, pursuing a new goal, reading your scriptures and saying your prayers daily or letting go of negative patterns, consistency is key. Transforming your life doesn’t happen overnight, but when you integrate these changes into your daily routine, they become a part of who you are. This shift requires dedication and intention, but over time, the results will speak for themselves. Change becomes less of a chore and more of a way of living.

So, don’t wait for January 1st, next month, or when life “settles down.” Start now and take ownership of your choices. You don’t need to have it all figured out; you just need to begin. Each step you take, no matter how small, moves you closer to your goals and becoming more like our Savior. The decision to act now can be the spark that ignites a transformation—not just for a moment but for a lifetime.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Missionary Corner

A common saying that missionaries say is "I left my family for 2 or 1 1/2 years so that I can help other families be together forever". I haven't be able to be there for a family's baptism that I worked with but this week that came wish of mine came true and I got to witness the baptism of the Cross family.

We sang "Families Can Be Together Forever" and at the very end we had the father bear his testimony and man that was some special. Brother Cross is a different kind of guy and you can tell he doesn't get emotional too often but seeing him break down in tears and say how happy he was to be able to baptize his wife and two sons made the room get a little dusty for everyone . He told his sons and wife "With Christmas coming up you gave me the best gift you could've given me"

So proud and happy for the Cross family

Love,

Elder Dano
