Good Morning, Kahalu'u Ward Family,

Gosh, Christmas is just a few days away and you can just feel the excitement for a wonderful celebration of the year. I can reflect back to when we were little and preparing for the Christmas season meant general house cleaning throughout the home. House cleaning was my mom's forte' and we were her little elves cleaning every room from top to bottom and everything in between. We didn't mind the hard work in getting our home ready... getting our home all Christmassy was gratifying. It was beautiful and exciting when it was time to bring the Christmas tree home. Dad placed the tree in a stand and it stood majestically in the corner of the living room waiting to receive the strings of lights, ornaments and other adornments to add beauty to the tree. We all pitched in when it was time to trim the tree. It took all evening and Mother made sure that all the decorations were distributed evenly throughout the beautiful 8 foot premium Douglas fir. We marveled over the beautiful scene of our decorated Christmas tree. We all had our favorite ornament whether it was purchased from a department store of hand-made in school.

Today, I don't think there's much general house cleaning involved. Who has the time. All the hustle and bustle for a wonderful holiday season. What matters most is keeping CHRIST in Chritmas. As we attend our Sacrament Meeting Christmas Presentation this morning, let us reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ, who was wrapped in swaddlikng clothes and with humility placed in a manger (See Luke 2:7). May the messages prepared and hymns that we sing bring "Joy to the World" with glad tidings, peace on earth, and good will to men as we honor the new-born King.

Merry Christmas - Uncle BillAssistance Ward Clerk, Kahalu'u Ward
