Dear Kahaluʻu Ward,

Without saying which one, I can tell you that for one of my sons, I know that I can walk in his bedroom and understand what God meant when he gave these instructions to Jehovah to create the world.... "Here is matter unorganized..." All kidding aside, as we begin our studies of the Old Testament this in year in our Come Follow Me lessons, we begin by studying the Creation. "Because the world around us is so beautiful and majestic, it’s hard to imagine the earth when it was “without form, and void” and “empty and desolate” (Genesis 1:2; Abraham 4:2). One thing the Creation story teaches us is that God can, over time, make something magnificent out of something unorganized." CFM Manual We can all relate to times in our lives when things are or were chaotic, unorganized, or messy. One perspective we take away from these moments is that they are moments of creation. Moments when our lives are being molded. Our lives are actually in essence, always in a process of creation, change or growth. So no matter how uneasy we may feel in any moment, something beautiful can become of it in the end, especially when we lean on the best fixer-upper ever.... our Savior Jesus Christ.

Looking forward to a wonderful 2026 with a care in my heart for all of you.

Bishop Tano Kahaluʻu Ward
