Aloha Kahalu’u Ward,

A scripture that stood out to me this week is James 1:5-6:

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”

This scripture makes me think of Joseph Smith. He was just a teenager when he decided to ask God for answers, and because he had faith, he got them. What’s crazy is that he didn’t just stop there—he went on to do so many amazing things, like translating the Book of Mormon, organizing the Church, and teaching others about Jesus Christ.

Joseph was brave and didn’t give up, even when things got really hard. That’s something I really look up to. If he could stay strong and trust God through all of that, I know I can turn to God too when I’m struggling or need answers.
